Full growth for.EU !

18 avril 2008 11:26

In the italian town of Pisa, .EU registry opened up its fourth and last office in addition of those in Prague, Stockholm and Diegen, the head office, near Bruxelles.

Pisa bureau will be in charge of the south of Europe and will provide assistance to the Registrars, Registrants and customers in following tongues Greek, Italian, Maltese, Portuguese, Slovenian and Spanish.

Being close to the market and to customer, Eurid is willing to offer better service to users by settling local bureaux.

Eurid General Manager, Marc Van Wesemael, we had interviewed in Ljubljana just before the launch of european extension, said : "This marks the final stage in our location process as we now will have all four offices in place. I am delighted with the opening of the Pisa office and believe that we will be able to maintain a very high level of customer service." Mariangela Pedri, who have been working for the Registry since January 2007 will manage Registry division in Pisa.

Since its opening in April 2006, almost 2.7 million domain names in .EU have been registered boosting this extension at the third size rank in Europe.

In Poland, registration in .EU had a 50% growth in 2007, according to Eurid last figures.

In other countries, growth was important : 48,46% in Lituania, and 39,91% for Finland.

These figures are meaningful for the Registry and the wish is that this progress will carry on in 2008.
