]Our team is back from [New Delhi in India where the 31 st ICANN meeting took place. More than 700 people (720 to be precise) including 290 coming from all over India attended this meeting of topping hearings.
Number of resolutions were adopted by the board including :
directs staff to continue its implementation work on New gTLDs, inform the GNSO and the public on progress made in implementation efforts, discuss some issues raised by the staff and Board regarding implementation with the GNSO Council, and provide information to the Board in a timely manner to enable the Board to discuss the recommendations and implementation issues and quickly determine a course of action for the introduction new gTLDs, with staff to provide an update at the Board workshop on 17 April 2008.
to ask ICANN organizations and support committees to carry on their endeavours and their pledges of contribution in order to give advice to the board on a line of conduct in a convenient way ;
requests that ICANN staff provide regular feedback to the community on progress and lessons learned.
approves the Framework and Principles on Accountability and Transparency ;
directs Staff to work with the At-Large Advisory Committee to finalise a proposal that will fund one person from each At-Large Structure to attend the proposed Summit, for consideration as part of the 2008-2009 operating plan and budget process

The odds are that the ICANN meeting 22-27 june 2008 in Paris will be a great success. More than 1.500 individuals are expected for this event that will take place at the Meridien Montparnasse palace.
